What God is doing right now in my life

Hope everyone is having a blessed day, I am so excited to share right now with you all, today’s blog about what God is actively doing in my life right now. I created this blog to take you on my spiritual journey and I am so excited to share with you what God is actively doing for and through me right now. I believe in each seasons God is always teaching us more and more about Him. I first need to answer a question you are probably wondering, “How is God teaching you?” That is simple. Through His word. His word is perfect and it is a pure example of the Lord teaching us. 2 Timothy 3:14-17, “ But as for you, continue in what you have learned and firmly believed. You know those who taught you, and you know that from infancy you have known the sacred Scriptures, which are able to give you wisdom for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for rebuking, correcting, for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. (CSB)

Prayer has something God has been teaching me so much recently how essential it is. Prayer is one of our forms of talking to our Father. When we pray we are making our desires known to God and our needs. It is so important to pray multiple times a day because God is our father, and He wants us, His children, to come to us. I have been reading the book of Psalms often lately and mediating on this book of the Bible as prayers to God. And while yes, God is all-knowing and sees us and knows our needs. He wants us to step out in our faith and make our desires known to Him. The Bible says faith as small as a mustard seed can do miraculous deeds. Prayer doesn’t have to be formal for God is our Father, our friend, our seeker, etc. He just wants us to talk to Him, even if it is a simple “Hey God, look at this”.

He is FAITHFUL. Jesus has been showing me how faithful He truly is and that He does answer our prayers. He is a God that does not know the word impossible. In my Bible reading, I have continually been seeing how we serve a faithful God in the Bible throughout the lives of the Israelites where they are outnumbered, yet, God makes a way for their enemies to be handed over to them. He does this many times with David, as David is severely outnumbered, yet God pulls Him through. God turned David from hiding from the king to becoming the king. Recently, I have seen firsthand in my life that God is and will be faithful.

Surrender. This is not seriously taken enough. God has been teaching me lately, that we need to lay our lives down to Him. The Gospel tells us to take up our cross and when we lay our lives down, we gain it through Him(If you haven’t noticed been studying the Gospel LOL). The past few weeks have been a true whirlwind and I have a lot of decisions coming up I need to make for my future. God has truly been showing me to surrender them to Him because when we surrender them to the Lord, we have nothing to worry about. (Matthew 16:25) I have seen that we need to believe that God is going to move, not hoping God will move because He is the God that comes through. Jesus is our savior, but Jesus is also our LORD. Therefore, we should surrender our all to Him.

And I have been learning is how deeply loved God is with us and how that should be the only thing that matters, I have been really learning that, God created us in His imagine, not anyone else's. He created us and He sees us. We are sinners. Undeserving, yet still seen by God. One of my favorite songs recently is by Lauren Daigle, “Love like This”. (Will link it down below) A song where the lyrics sing:

“When I am a long night

You are the sunrise

When I am a desert

You are the river that turns

To find me

What have I done to deserve love like this?

What have I done to deserve love like this?

Your voice like a whisper

Breaking the silence

You say there's a treasure

You'll look 'til You find it

You search to find me

What have I done to deserve love like this?

What have I done to deserve love like this?

I cannot earn what You so freely give

What have I done to deserve love like this?”And His love for us is just THAT. He completes us and He is our hope when there seems to be no hope. I am so thankful for everything God continues to teach me and do in my life. I pray that He reveals new things to each of you, day after day. I pray that this season of your, and every season is a season of growth through Christ.

Blessings,

Barrett
