Hi everyone! I hope everyone had an amazing thanksgiving and I am so excited it is finally the Christmas season. I am so excited to announce if you have not already heard, I am going on my first international missions’ trip!! Missions are so vital to the life of all believers because it is our job to spread the good news that Jesus Christ is our risen savior! (Matt 28:18-19, Mark 16:15, Romans 10:13) Mission trips are so special to me because it was on a mission trip to New York City, that I truly felt the Lord call me very passionately to ministry. So, this summer, I will be going with a team from my university, Southeastern, where we will be participating in multiple types of ministries: including such things as kids’ ministry, sports ministry, manual labor, etc. Just being the hands and feet of God. What is so exciting about this trip is that it is a mystery trip!! Yep, that is right! I will not be knowing where I am serving until the airport! We do know as of right now it is to the Latin-America Caribbean area, but we will not know the location till the day we leave, this is Southeastern University's first-ever mystery missions’ trip and I am so excited to be a part of it!
Some of you may be wondering or saying to yourself right now: “Wow that is scary” or “Oh my gosh why did you choose to attend a trip where you don’t know where you are going?”. And I get what you mean because even my family was hesitant at first, but I have just decided to say YES. Yes, to whatever God has in store for me. When I was applying/interviewing for mission’s trips, I had no idea which one the Lord was leading me to, and I kept fasting and praying about it, yet nothing, until the mystery trip! It just felt right. Why make a choice when I can leave it to God to send me? I chose this trip because I am ready to say "Yes!" to God and if we don't go? Who will?
I am choosing the mission trip because I want to learn to trust the Lord more. He is our heavenly father; He has promised to never leave nor forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:8), and I am leaning into His promises right now! I am trusting the Lord with this decision and having faith because scripture says faith without works is dead faith (James 2). I am choosing this missions trip because I know it is going to challenge me and that is what I want. I want my faith to be grown from this trip because I know we live such comfortable for the lives of the Gospel and I want to be pushed to really seek the Lord and His will for me!
If you are wondering how you can help: You can partner with me in multiple ways:

Pray for strength for the team and that the Lord's favor just is with us! Most of all, just pray that we are open to whatever God wants to do!
